Julian Anderson studied with John Lambert, Alexander Goehr and Tristan Murail.  He has been commissioned by many of the world’s top ensembles and his works have been widely performed. He has a keen interest in choral music; his Four American Choruses have been sung by many of the world’s top choirs and his, Bell Mass, was written to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Westminster Abbey’s Collegiate Charter. From 2004 – 2007 Anderson was Professor of Music at Harvard University; he is currently Professor of Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Composer-in-Residence with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
